ok so i'm back after playing non-stop for 2.5 months ;)
life was good man! loved' every sec of it.. but now fun needs to take a backseat cos...
play-time is overrrrrrrrr hah! no more frequent late-night outings, no more staying overs =(
gotta set my priorities straight! goals and expectations and whatsoever...
gotta TRY to be acustom to study life once again ahhh! but its dam hard after 8 mths of no studying @_@
gotta behave like an acutal 20 year old!!!

sch kinda unofficially started for me..and i'm pretty psyched up!
got a pretty good headstart.. so far..
now all i got to do is ace the bloody exams!!! and not screw up..
like how hard is that?

on a sidenote, i think nurses in singapore truly deserve our respect..
their dedication, their sacrifices. their steadfastness. wow.
seeing my nursing frens slogging it out during the h1n1 pandemic.. its like i was living in a totally different world. super super privileged life i have..
really hope to have a chance to do a part for the society like our nurses have done! ^^

call me crazy, but benjamin button deserves an entry on my blog @ 4.15am. just saw the movie early this morning with my cell members. wow! great show, great company and superb acting from an awesome cast. love brad pitt and cate blanchett!
what i loved most about the movie (second after brad pitt lar) is the way it portrays about life. life at different angles, at different timelines. came to the cinema with an open mind, and i left with such an over-flooded one. haiz. so beautiful and tender yet at the same time, so meaningful. *signs*
really enjoyed the show. and it was well-worth the cab fare and the $10 moive tix ;)

the changeling was great as well! haha watched a brad pitt and an angelina jolie show within a span of 3 days. cool.. next up is jennifer aniston with he's just not that into you. hehe can't wait! =D

howdy folks, its been a long while i guess (110 days to be exact). Been busy, but yes i am back from hiatus! hopefully its a permentant thing ;)

internship just ended a week ago. hasn't really sunk in yet, but i'm not one to complain. sleeping late, waking up late, being late for school, dressing in my shirt+shorts+flip-flops combo. i'm loving it! woohoo! =D

through the idling, it actually got me thinking about my 2009 resolutions. given it quite a bit of thought, and 2009 is gonna be a year of upgrading for me. exciting! in no particular order...tada!
1) improve on my very incorrigble chinese.
2) learn diving/schba diving.
3) learn some form of self-defence! taekwondo anybody??
4) learn japanese? learn hip-hop? (still pending...)
5) spend less, save more. eat less, exercise more.
6) try not to lose my wallet/keys/ipod/handphone/myself again this year
7) be a nicer person overall.
and the rest are private and confidental. whoops =P (check this space for more updates hah!)

seeing margaret so happy and turning the big 2-1 (opps =P), celebrating, having fun and laughing with my cell members, having those small-but-significant conservations with peope i love, taking a thousand photos (literally!) with n11two and n34one, performing and cheering for kok keng and bren for their 'ge tai wu' etc was what i really needed after that hellish week.
Thank God for this wonderful breath of fresh air.
i truly am very very blessed to meet this wonderful group of people that changed my life one way or another.

today! today went out with hay hay to suntec to check out COMEX 2008 @ suntec. super alot of ppl man. hay wanted to buy a lappy and i wanted to buy an ipod. squeeze until cannot tahan and we finally left for vivo to chill w/o buying anything =( (have to ask for permission before i can buy my PINK ipod..haiz haiz) and too bad janet couldnt join us >.<

window shopped with hay. tried to psycho her into buying a topshop top for me but it din work man. shucks! hahas u know i still love u hay :) den later caleb joined us for dinner @ sushi tei before i had to meet up with eddie james and karen again at PS lols.

the plans to go to minds cafe with them went haywire due to some unexpected circumstances, and eddie karen and me ended up at icecube. i tried the sundae with liquour - eddie's treat yay! yum yum.

den james joined us later and we went chomps. ate carrot cake and drank sugar cane.

the whole of last week i was simply mugging. for DPD, MICE and LSO. was quite fruitful i guess. the guys were super focus and competitive, making me more stress den ever. but nevertheless the company really force me to really study hehz ^^

friday after calculus exam, chilled and studied at airport BK. den at night went to meet the cell to send alison off. took like 10thousand photos and finally had to say our good byes. dang. i will really really miss alison. she was the one who came into church same time with me, and now i'm all aloneee. =( =(
and the sending off was quite emotional really. waving back to her behind a glass panel, watching as she stepped out to the real world to an unfamiliar place, with millions of chenna strangers around her. oh mans. i cant put myself in her shoes man. but i know alison can do it! =D =D. imagine nt seeing alison for 4yrs. haiz haiz. but i promise myself that i will make it a point to chat with her whenever i see her on9. so alison, PLS APPEAR ONLINE OK! update me about everything in ur life. i'll promise the cell grp and i will visit u in china sooonnn~ :) :)

so finally we all said our goodbyes too, and left for our respective destinations. and me and eddie decided to just stay overnight at t2 cos we have already missed our last bus and the fact that we were coming back to the airport the nxt morning. so it made sense to just stay overnight there. din really thot about the other issues involved hahas.
so me and eddie had our war plan all worked out and proceeded to macs for our revision. studied and slept from 4-10 at macs like a construction worker hahas. den james and karen finally joined us the nxt morning.
hahas i really love our clique man! when the 4 of us come tgt, every min with them are filled with laughter and FUN! hahahas! took really spastic photos of ourselves. (will upload once i get dem)

den den fianlly me and eddie left for expo to attend del's graduation ceremony! ^^ managed to sit with n341 again after so long hahas. haha i've to say the Word was interesting. rev alex abraham was the preacher, and he talked about his life story. quite amazing really. and he and his translator were super cute lar! lols. really entertaining hahas. den celebrated PK's bday as a church. it was an endearing moment hahas. i'm mighty proud of having pastor kong as my pastor ^^ den den finally came to the SOT's grad ceremony. hmmm thinking about it, it feels like just a mth ago since del entered into SOT and suddenly she's graduating! oh mans, how time pass. but anyhow i'm happy for del =D managed to get her transcript properly hohoho ^^

ok today went out with ed james karen and fiona after school. plan nice nice to go to ice cube for ice-cream de, but ended up in AMK .__.

AMK dam cui la! esp that amk hub!! dont have the movie we wanted, so we decided to eat instead. but the five of us just couldn't decide on a place to eat. so karen flipped a coin and we ended up in ichiban sushi. hahas! and the worst thing was that we decided to zhao after seeing the menu... super embarrassing sia! hahahs! den we moved to pepper lunch and i realised i left my phone at ichiban .__. really super blur of me >.<

den after that went to the mac's drive thru to chill. (yes we are damn cui, i know) played cards, but wasnt allowed, so karen and eddie improvised with paper .___. thats the extent of their desperateness lols. in the end, paper 'cards' werent allowed as well and we were chased out =( soooo, we went searching at the playground, void decks and the library for an area to play. but seriously we all just couldnt agree on a single damn thing lar hahas. so in the end, spent the majority of our time taking photos and posing with zac efron hahas! had to leave early cos of michelle's bday, while the rest went to play pool.

the show was sadly disappointing thou. personally i felt that it wasnt thrilling enuff. nt enuff gore la hahas! =X but now typing now about it makes me kinda paranoid about my surroundings hahas. i think i just rekindered my i-love-kill-people-movie phrase i had in sec sch. hahas

den went to eat rochor rd tao hui again for fellowship. like the 3rd time i been there in 2 weeks.
oh ya i need to mention that james promise me and cal a lifetime supply of rochor road tao hui, you tiao (issit like that spell?) and soyabean drinks for pangseh-ing us today! YAY =D
thank God tao hui is not fattening lols. but den again, i chap siao about this kinda thing de. as uncle said: LIVE FOR TODAY, NEVER FOR TMR. damn right la. i super agree. as long as u're happy, other things are secondary.

cabbed down to CS and went in 30 minutes late... oh wells.
but the movie was nice nice nice! joker was the main highlight man. heath ledger really acted out the character damn well. its such a waste he wont be around for the third installment.. =(

ANWs had so much fun during the movie!
hahas was making so much noise with karen.
we both just din't care and we kept laughing and laughing! and screaming! hahas!

Problematic

a sense of heaviness in my heart for someone i hold dearly.
i somehow feel that i’m at crossroads as well.
the advice that i gave her was based on wad i would do if i were in her shoes. from my own point of view.
but it’s not the “true-christian-advice” kinda advice that i’m supposed to be giving.
its more like based on my own feeling, what-i-think-is-right, screw-what-the-others-think kinda advice lols.
i tried to tell myself that i have to be a good role model for her sake, but i just couldn’t. DANG IT! how i felt about the situation personally just overrided the duty to be a good role model. so i went blurting out my crappy but still wise advice. (:

but ultimately this question came up to me again: will i submit to my leaders wholeheartedly, without any hesitation, without any misgivings (to the extent of submitting blindly).
OR will i submit to my leaders smartly, based on what i think is right. submitting only if it does not compromise on my own set of beliefs and rights.
haiz. i still dunno man.
the Christian side of me is telling me the former.
but my heart (yes my heart) and the stubbornness in me is telling me the latter.
i have always been super headstrong and a faithful believer of being true to your own heart. and having no regrets. but i realise all this while i have always been so self-centered and selfish.
it has always been ME ME ME, never about God. it’s always about follow my heart, follow my feelings. never for the sake of servanthood. heck, even this blog is all about me ._.
take for an example today’s service w/ pastor kong. he mention that we must honour our dignity. E.g. be ZAI haha! but seriously, he mentioned about ppl being crude, ppl using all those Ss and the Bs. they are not dignified, just trying to act macho and cool. When he said that, i was feeling super guilty lar! (not about the cool and macho part pls .__.) personally, saying the S word for me is like saying ouch when injured. so normal =X i cant even count the no. of Fs and Bs i say everyday.
and after PK said that sentence, i told myself i needed to change at least my F and B language. but when kok showed me this dam gay video during fellowship, i happily said the wtf word. And brendan heard it. oh mans.
ok my point is that: if I really regarded PK’s msg and for the sake of servanthood, i would make a more decent effort in changing my crude language and think be4 i talked...
oh wells, so much about changing.

he said what would happen if he was to become my usher team/section leader.

Deliverance

Ok, seriously have to blog about Saturday’s service.
writing down what i have witnessed today would make witnessing it all the more real..
anws.
pastor mike connell came and it was my first time seeing him and hearing him preach, although i’ve heard many stuff about him.
according to WH, pastor mike is someone who is good at casting out demons. i quote “being near him alone, can make one’s hands shiver.”
amazing huh?
but seriously, i wasn’t expecting the kind of response i got during service.

Preaching title was: keys to overcome disappointment. I thot “eh y PM preaching something not really bible-related?” but of course i din suspect it was a deliverance service. Den he preached and preached and preached. And of course i listened (:
later i happily saw the time @ 7.20pm, and thot service was gonna end soon. I was secretly happy.
but instead i got one of the most (________) experiences in my life.
deliverance just began.
honestly, the feeling wasn’t a good one for me. it was too overwhelming and scary for me.
i was really really really freaked out with all the screaming and crying and wailing. esp the screaming.
I still rmb during the beginning of deliverance, i heard screaming noises somewhere in the distance.
and i innocently thot it was some kids outside playing and screaming for fun (i din noe it was deliverance session yet),but then it persisted.
and innocent me still thot it was the kids making the noise, and thot the security ministry was gg to handle the situation asap. but still it continued.
by then, the girl/lady/woman behind me started sniffing, den crying, den wailing.
den i thot : oh no, is the person behind me having a demon inside of her? Is this one of those casting- out-demons sessions?
den it hit me. The screaming i heard just now did not come from a bunch of playful kids. but from someone who needed deliverance.
OMG!
den more screams and wailings could be heard. from all four corners of expo hall 8.
omg their screams are seriously not that kind of normal scream-cheer kind of scream, not the i-need-to-release-stress kind of scream. but the really desperate kind, the kind of screams that you hear when ppl get tortured. i could really feel the raw need and help in their screams, esp from the neighbour screaming directly behind my seat. it tells me of so many indescribable feelings and things.
and the worst part was the fact that i din noe what to do about it.
I felt that i just needed to do something about it. Anything. Just as long as those terrifying screams would stopped. i felt compelled to turn around and start praying and consoling her, but of course i didn’t.

i still remembered PM wanted all of us to focus and let go of all our disappointment and bitterness in our hearts, and he kept reassuring us that the screams were very common and normal.
but i couldn’t even concentrate lar! (omg the first singlish i wrote!!!)
the screams were affecting me too bloody much. I juz wanted them to stop. At one point of time, i even contemplated about just running out of the church. I really couldn’t take it anymore. The air was seriously suffocating me man. I was really freaked-out.

during the whole deliverance session, i desperately wanted onto hold my neighbour’s arm and really squeezed it. i needed to feel secured, safe, protected and assured that everything was gonna be alright. I NEEDED MY DADDY!
but the person beside me was JX, and i couldn’t bring myself to squeeze his arm (don’t ask y).
and beside him was kok keng. i would’t mind squeezing kok’s arm at all, but obviously i dint.
cos 1stly squeezing one fren’s arm should be as discreet as possible, without attracting any unwanted attention from neighbouring ppl. And 2ndly, what would JX think man?? hahas (1st haha! Omg!)

Ok, back to the deliverance.
half-way thru the deliverance, a man started shouting “i curse u, pastor mike” X4 (initially i thot it was: i love u pastor mike... I swear i don’t know a single thing about deliverance)
den i happily thot : issit normal for a guy to express his love for a pastor during a deliverance session? and declare it so loudly that the whole hall could hear it? Oh wells..good for u dude.
OMG I ACTUALLY THOUGHT OF THAT LAR! and the word CURSE din even cross my mind.
den den, at the climax of the deliverance, where all the people that needed to be delivered went up to the front. A huge commotion happened in front of me.
by then, i was too afraid and scared to know what happened. seriously i had enuff of shocks for 1 day. but i believed a few ppl passed out due to PM’s anointing?
I really don’t wanna know...
there were ppl vomiting, coughing, screaming, wailing and shouting. All around me.
i thot i was slowly losing myself man, after seeing all of this.
But finally the ending praise song began.
i was really really relieved that deliverance finally ended (but not the screaming).
During singing the song, i felt this heaviness in my heart. i really wondered y all this bottled up disappointment in these people’s hearts were so jialat, that they must scream so terrifyingly. My heart went out to them. i can’t put myself in their shoes. I’m sry

even after the whole service ended, there were still some screaming.
Frens actually have to hold onto the screamer. to calm him down? To stop his struggling? To stop him from attacking himself and others?
I really dunno man.

Ok service and deliverance finally ended. margt explained to me the meaning behind deliverance and the reasons for it. she said that one reason behind deliverance was the frighten-ness. if the devil sees u being so afraid of all the screams and everything, it will know that we are scared and will find a way inside our spiritual body and manifest. This is especially so for ppl who are near the screamers (i really dunno wad term to use for them), as the devil will find it easier to attack these people, as they are nearer compared to the others.
after i heard that, i totally freaked out lar!! i was (and still am) bloody scared can. Most prob the devil is inside of me le, and i cant do anything about it.
in short, it means: people who are scared-->devil attacks them-->devil inside of them-->in order to be freed... --> must go for deliverance-->SCREAMING WAILING CRYING AND SHOUTING.
OMG LAR. i will never do that. I’m just not ready for deliverance. Seriously.

Ok in conclusion, if someone were to ask me how i felt about my first deliverance session.
i would tell them this:
it was seriously an experience for me, but i’m not sure whether i want to experience it again.
It was frightening, scary, overwhelming, freaky, suffocating and stressful. In short, it affected me a great big deal.
I’m not ready for deliverance sessions, and the nxt time there is one, i will most probably not go for the service.
I’m now scared of mike connell and his preachings.
i was seriously considering of inviting karen and eddie to come for today’s service, but thank god i dint. If i were them, i would have immediately left the hall when the screaming began. And i will never ever come back to CHC again.
That’s how freaky it is for me.
to be honest, i was abit angry with the church for suggesting that we invite frens to come for PM’s service. I mean who in the right mind would suggest inviting 1st-timers to a deliverance session?
c’mon man!!!

ok last few days were hell
the next few days will still continue to be hell.

i really regret enjoying my 1st week of holidays so much that i din really touched my projects.
and now i'm left to face the consequences.

seriously during times like this, i cant believe that i'm actually coming 19 this yr.
i mean 19year olds are suppose to be adults, fully knowing their priorties and not compromising on them.
they are not suppose to be whinning and emo-ing in their blogs. unlike me.
oh screw it.

tonning overnight almost everyday is hell.
i finally understood the importance of slp and i will never ever take it for granted again.
even my empty bed is sliently mocking at me. tempting me to just leave everything for the nxt morning, and just freaking slp.

yerps i'm finally back from camp.

camp was fun
had a great time bonding with my cell, esp the girls ^^
made many new frens
1st time praying for an hour = super refreshing, really felt His presence ^^
highlight for me was definitely the tele match =)

devotion was alright i guess,
was dozing pretty much thou >.<

i swear there's something wrong with me,

i dont feel tired during other camp activites, but suay suay during devotion sessions i always dozed off...

its been a while since i blog,
was really busy last week,
had a total of 3 tests, 2 interviews and 1 report submission
but thank God i managed to finish each one of them :)
but at the expense of my slp!
calculated that i had only a total of 15 hours of slp from mon-fri
so as to compensate my lack of slp during the weekdays,
i slept from 2am-4pm on sat - 14hrs of slp!
woohoo ^^
but as a result i was late for church AGAIN ._.
oh wells...

i must keep reminding myself to pray at least 20mins everyday
starting from today
dang! i really need the discipline man
den fasting from 6-6 every friday.
its really gonna be a DUA big challenge for me lar!
how the hell am i going to resist food for 12 hours. oh mans.

should have made a bet with allison or the other newbies
see if they can keep to their committments or not. lols.

i was super dam busy, gg out after sch everyday
earliest i got home last week was 11.30pm
hahas, bo bian i got too much of a social life =P
but i shall not let it affect my studies

ysd juz went to pulau ubin for DPD/MICE project, with my groupies! - james, eddie, nicole, serena and me
we rented bikes to rekey (dunno how to spell) Pulau Ubin and we cycled like siao.
i almost CMI on the stupid slope la.
usually have no prob 1 de, think i bo stamina le
must exercise more!!

but it was great fun la and i hope that i've gotten tanner!

hehe
i was really happy about ysd's photoshoot.
just wanna THANK GOD for everything,
from my hair to the actual photoshoot.
everything was going really smoothly, without any hiccups.
YAY and i din make my parents angry! YES ARHHH!
haha
was praying desperately when the salon auntie was doing my hair.
cos i was kinda skeptical about the freaking cheap styling cost
how to trust my hair to an auntie for 13 bucks??
but heng ar, auntie was a sweetie
and my hair turned out very nicely
thank you Lord and auntie for ysd! =D

pastor Kong was preaching about prayer part III
really makes sense (like duh! he's pastor Kong for God's sake)
haha
but to be honest, i had like 8 lessons on prayer for the past 3 weeks
including bs, cg and service.
and i think its time to change to a different topic for nxt week =X

but the thing that impacted me the most for ysd

was really the fellowship after that
alison and WH were debating over the reason y CHC keeps emphasising on the tangible spirtual presence of God and other stuff..
must really say alison really question many of my beliefs as a Christian.
e.g. like wad's really my true reason for being a christian, for coming to church etc.
but i guess i'm easily swayed by people's opinions
and the fact that i'm not as deeply rooted in the church, as compared to the rest of my members.

honestly i also dont agree with some of the teachings as well
mostly on the financial aspect of the church (i shall not go into e details)
later the wrong ppl see, i kenna sia
lols

but i will really miss alison when she goes to China for 4yrs
will really miss her presence..

so used to seeing her in church le

she really made me open my eyes to see the bigger picture
i'm thankful ^^

(so alison if u're seeing this, i expect u be touched that i mention u in my blog with a total of 6 sentences! ok u know i'm kidding haha ^^)

i asked myself this qn: how far will i submit to my leaders and Lord?

i'm still a newbie in church la

went out with my sj batch members on thur for our monthy gathering.

venue was at amk hub hahas.

went to pepper lunch to have our dinner and honestly the food there sux.

had the chicken pepper lunch and honestly the corn+chicken+rice combination was disgusting. urghhh :S

anws the accompany there over compensate the crappy dinner!

mallor, gengen, rach, eunice, ade, anne, gerry and me did alot of heavy catching-up.

and anytime spent with these wonderful dearies of mine is just great.

love them to bits man!

and as usual when the sjc sj ppl unite, we start making a hell lot of noise, laughing and playing. hahas!

den later shermain and jaslyn joined us and we went to the arcade and played.

haha was really crazy sia.

screaming and laughing when playing the hit-hit game and the music game. super fun ^^

we were practically the last ppl to leave the arcade hehs.

den later we moved to mos burger to relax and chill

but ended up doing our favourite past-time: taking photos! hahas

we seriously made a big commotion there man. but nobody cared hahas.

after that, we went home le ):

but thinking about it now. although most of us are already 19, we din really change much.(character wise la.) we still behaved like what we were when we were in sec sch tgt. the bo-chapness and just have fun kinda thing. hahas.

really really miss those times in sec sch man, esp the st john days.

the comp trainings, the foot-drills, the stupid and retarded punishments we did, the laughs and the cryings, NCO and so many more.

they will almost hold a special place in my heart.

haiz ok i'm starting to get all sentimental and emotional. better stop now hahas.

but i know these ppl are the frens that will always be there for me no matter what.

and i thank God so much for allowing me to meet these wonderful and precious people in my life.
